Kindbloom
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 18 August 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information the Kindbloom app (“Kindbloom”, “we”, “us”) collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. Kindbloom is designed to be private by default: you can create, edit, and export posters without an account and without giving us any personal information.
By using Kindbloom you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
Who we are
Kindbloom is an iOS app that turns short affirmations into hand-painted-looking posters. The app is developed and operated by the Kindbloom developer (“the developer”). For any privacy question you can reach us at the contact address at the end of this Policy.
Summary
- No account. Kindbloom has no sign-up and no login.
- Your creations stay on your device. The posters you make, your saved library (“My Posters”), and your favorites are stored locally on your device, not on our servers.
- We use anonymous analytics. We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand, in aggregate, how the app is used so we can improve it. This data is not linked to your name, email, or any real-world identity.
- No advertising tracking. We do not use the device advertising identifier (IDFA), we do not show ads, and we do not track you across other apps or websites. The app does not present an App Tracking Transparency prompt because it does not track you in that sense.
- Purchases are handled by Apple. Subscriptions and one-time purchases are processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to manage your access to premium features.
Information stored only on your device
The following stays on your device (in the app’s private storage) and is not transmitted to us:
- The posters you create and save to My Posters.
- Your favorites.
- App preferences (such as whether haptics are enabled).
- A local record of your free daily export count and your premium status.
If you delete the app, this on-device data is removed with it. Posters you export to your Photos library are saved by you into Apple Photos and are governed by Apple’s terms, not ours.
Information we collect through analytics
We use Google Firebase Analytics (a Google service) to collect anonymous, aggregated usage information that helps us understand which features are used and where the app can be improved. This may include:
- App usage events, for example opening the editor, changing a template, or exporting a poster (event names and counts, not the words you write).
- Device and app information, such as device model, operating-system version, app version, language, and coarse region/country.
- A Firebase-generated identifier (an app-instance ID) used to count unique installs and sessions. This is generated by the SDK and is not your name, email, phone number, or Apple ID.
We have configured analytics without the advertising identifier (IDFA) and without cross-app tracking. The information above is pseudonymous: it is not associated with your real-world identity, and we do not attempt to re-identify you from it.
Google processes this data as our service provider. Google’s handling of Firebase Analytics data is described in Google’s Privacy Policy and Firebase’s privacy documentation.
Purchases and premium access
When you buy a subscription or a one-time purchase, the transaction is processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment card details.
To manage your access to premium features we use RevenueCat, which processes purchase and receipt information provided by Apple (such as the product purchased, purchase and expiration dates, and Apple’s transaction identifiers). We may use a purchase identifier provided by the App Store (for example an app transaction identifier) to:
- recognise your purchases so your premium access works across your devices and after reinstalling, and
- associate a purchase with our anonymous analytics so we can understand premium versus free usage in aggregate.
This purchase identifier is issued by Apple and is not your name, email, or Apple ID. RevenueCat’s privacy practices are described at revenuecat.com/privacy.
Remote content
Kindbloom occasionally downloads an updated set of gallery categories and templates from a hosted content file so we can add or refresh designs without an app update. This is a one-way download: the app fetches content, and no personal information about you is sent in the request.
What we do not collect
- We do not ask for or store your name, email address, phone number, or physical address (unless you choose to email us for support).
- We do not collect the text of the affirmations you write; your poster content stays on your device.
- We do not access your contacts, microphone, or precise location.
- We do not sell or rent your information to anyone.
- We do not use the advertising identifier or serve advertising.
How we use information
We use the anonymous analytics and purchase information described above to:
- operate and provide the app and your premium access;
- understand how features are used, in aggregate, and fix problems; and
- improve and develop new features.
Legal bases (EEA/UK users)
Where the GDPR/UK GDPR applies, we rely on our legitimate interests in operating and improving the app for anonymous analytics, and on the performance of a contract with you to provide purchased premium features. Where required, we will rely on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time (see “Your choices”).
Your choices
- Opt out of analytics. You can limit analytics collection through the options in the app (where offered) and through your device settings. You can also stop all analytics by not using the app.
- Manage or cancel purchases. You can manage subscriptions in your Apple ID settings, or via the in-app Manage Subscription option.
- Delete your data. Deleting the app removes the data stored on your device.
- Requests. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information, or to object to certain processing. Because we hold very little that can identify you, we may ask you for information to locate any relevant data. Contact us using the details below.
Children
Kindbloom is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will address it.
Data retention and security
On-device data remains until you delete it or remove the app. Anonymous analytics are retained by our analytics provider according to its standard retention settings. We take reasonable measures to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
International transfers
Our analytics and purchase-management providers (Google and RevenueCat) may process data on servers located outside your country, including the United States. Where required, appropriate safeguards are used for such transfers.
Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be reflected in the app or on this page.
